Huntsville TX Real Estate: What is the difference between a Realtor and a Real Estate Agent?
Thu. April 15, 2010 at 08:52 PM
What is the difference between a Realtor and a Real Estate Agent? Hmmm...glad you asked.
Let's start with what Realtors and Real Estate Agents have in common. Both are licensed to sell Real Estate. What is the difference.
This is HUGE:
Realtors are bound by a code of ethics, whereas Real Estate Agents are not. Why is this important to the consumer? You can find out all the details by reading the code of ethics available at www.Realtor.org , but here's the gist: Realtors are held accountable by the NAR-National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics. The National Association of Realtors came into existence for the purpose of protecting the consumer. This organization brought accountability to the "wild, wild west" of real estate transactions that was the climate prior to 1908 and the establishment of the Code of Ethics in 1913.
In any Real Estate transaction, building a relationship with a professional you trust is key. The title of Realtor allows the consumer to clearly see if that professional has put herself/himself in a position to be accountable to the Realtor Code of Ethics.

Wed. April 14, 2010 at 06:17 PM
This place is Gorgeous--Check out the brief video (perfect for folks with attention span of a Humming Bird--like me) Go ahead, check out the video, it's less than 2 minutes with lots of frame changes.
Westwood Shores is the subdivision. Located less than an hour and a half from Houston, Westwood Shores is a relatively unknown treasure situated on Lake Livingston, a constant level 88,000 plus surface acre lake. The neighborhood has golf, tennis, 2 pools, a campground--it has just about everything. And, get this for the $98.00/month combined fee, you get to play all the golf you want with NO additional greens fees! That rocks.
Oh, and by the way, I just reduced the price on a lakefront property there to $188,500---2281 sq ft and NICE www.11IndianHarbor.com Don't want Lakefront, how about a stone's throw from the lake flanked by a greenspace that leads to the water for $129,900? www.13IndianHarbor.com
This is your chance to own a piece of paradise at 90's prices. ...

I love Real Estate.......Duh?!
Tue. April 13, 2010 at 11:50 PM
I still can't get enough of it. Real Estate...That is. So intriguing, so very cool. Helping people find the right home and helping others to sell to be able to move on to the next chapter in their lives is so rewarding. I cannot imagine a more consistently rewarding career. This is not to say that I don't miss my goobers (my former students----voice and choir) terribly, because I do. They are amazing young people (getting less young every day like the rest of us) and will always have a deeply rooted place in my heart.
Real Estate is a new adventure every day, a new scene, a fresh outlook. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I get to see 1st time homebuyers smile when they realize they get to "set up house" and make a home, I get to help folks to downsize when the kids are gone and it's just the two of them again...and so much more! I have the privilege of helping and being involved with people's lives in a positive...

Baseball Season is finally here....hip, hip hooray!
Tue. April 13, 2010 at 11:25 PM
I love Baseball Season and everyhting it means....Springtime, flowers, green grass, sunshine glinting on the water and foliage. Ahhhh....Springtime, and baseball. I am a Texas Rangers Fan. Growing up I was a Phillies fan and hopelessly in love with shortstop Larry Bowa. Not, it's the Rangers. Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, and now Vlad Guerrero. Yep..Vlad..."If you can't beat 'em, sign 'em!"
Vlad was an out 'n out "Ranger Killer." He has the Ranger Stadium all time best batting average. He was a great "get." Baseball is so much fun (well, relaxing) to watch. It's not jam packed action--the game goes at a pace that actually helps you to slow down and "chill." And the Texas Rangers have the absolute BEST announcers. They are so easy to listen to and interesting. Very easy going and very real people, not a phony bone in either Josh or Tag. (Josh Lewin and Tom Grieve "Tag")
You know, we put in some...

Fri. April 2, 2010 at 04:20 AM
You read it right--not a typo. Over 2600 sq ft for 148K. 3-4 BR. 2.5 Baths AND a Sauna ! What!
"Okay, tell me about it." Don't mind if I do.
Located in Huntsville TX in Elkins Lake Country Club where the "livin' is easy" and the golf is FREE! (All the golf you can play for one low monthly maintenance fee of $156.00). There are also 2 pools, lighted Tennis Courts and 3 recreational stocked lakes to enjoy.
"I'm curious, is it a fixer-upper for that price?" You know, you may want to do some updates, it was built in 1973, but it already has solid granite surfaces in the kitchen and baths and is painted neutral colors. It also features an ensuite master bath with separate tub and shower and big closets.
Check out www.622GreenHills.com
Don't forget to play the video on the site to see the neighborhood kind of "in person." You are seriously going to want to check out this deal and "snap it up" before somebody else does.Mari...
