Elvis is in the building
Wed. September 9, 2009 at 01:42 AM
Baseball and more baseball and Elvis, The Elvis I speak of is Elvis Andrus of the Texas Rangers. Shortstop extrordinaire and all of 21 years old. Tonight, it's the Texas Rangers at the Cleveland Indians. A double header as a result of the rain-out in Cleveland last night.
Even witjout our All-Stars. Michael Young and Josh Hamilton out on the disabled list, we are looking good. Elvis Andrus just made the most incredible defensive play in the bottom of the 2nd in the second game--and he made the identical defensive play in the first game. He is definitely a future All-Star. Defense and offense. Can you believe the Rangers have defense AND pitching this year. I am so proud of them.
My husband and I both adore our announcers, Josh and Tag. It's kinda like they are just sitting in your living room chatting with you about the game and other subjects from time to time. When other announcers are sitting in, it's just not the same.
Any Ranger fans out there? Have you seen Neftali Feliz pitch yet? I know he gave up a run tonight--but, yikes what a start in the majors. His strike out rate is phenomenal. 7-0 top of the fourth. Go Rangers!

Big and Small--A short, short story of moved cheese
Tue. September 8, 2009 at 09:49 PM
Some days you feel bigger than other days. Some days you feel teeny-weeny and powerless. I think is has something to do with moved cheese.
Yep, you heard me right--moved cheese. It's been several years since I read the book, but sometimes I feel like it doesn't matter if you read it yesterday, it's just so durn difficult to remember.
If you are not familiar with the book http://www.whomovedmycheese.com/
Cheese is all about growth, not size. And remember, relative proportion sometimes smells like bad cheese.Mari Montgomery

Huntsville, TX, "One -Ways" and the way is UP
Huntsville goes to "One Way" and the way is "up." Let's hear it for progress. Huntsville, TX, the location of the fastest growing University in Texas, Sam Houston State University, now has one way service roads. No more night fright seeing headlights coming straight for you exiting off the highway. My husband has been in Safety for 35+ years. It is good to see safer roads come to our town. The look on his face was priceless, and not fright less when we moved and saw the traffic patterns moving on and off Interstate 45.
Huntsville, in its effort of "upward and onward and one-way," is adding a Target and some great restaurants. It looks like the "Houston sprawl" is heading directly our way.
Time to get in ahead of the crowd? Could be. Stable property values are part of the Huntsville economy. As a Realtor®, it is amazing to see stability on the housing market when...
