$390 one way--- Full Can of Diet Coke NOT included !
Sun. September 4, 2011 at 07:11 PM
So. Here it is...the wonderful world of flying. It used to be so exciting. Magical, even.
It is quite different these days. Airport security adds an extra hour--or so!-- to travel time each way. And, god forbid if you forget and leave bottled water in your carry on so that you don't have to pay $3.00+ for water. That's a whole other "pat down--bag check" story.
So, why is it.....that it takes a figurative "act of congress" to get a FULL glass of beverage and a literal "act of congress" to make any glass HALF empty. That's today's riddle, I guess.
And, where is the attitude in service. Oh, check that, I saw and experienced the "attitude," if an eye roll and head shake count. I bust my bottom (you can tell by the distinct..... Oh, never mind) serving my clients to the very best of my ability and here are these flight attendants "weary" and "put out" because I requested a full glass of ice and a FULL can of diet coke---NOT the excrement left over from the last pour from a can that may have been open since "People's Express" was flying (You have to be old enough to catch that reference---ok---google it) and 2 lonely ice cubes that looked as if they have taken the WHOLE brunt of Global Warming!
I wanted a A FULL CAN and A FULL CUP OF ICE CUBES! Is that too much to ask??????????
Now, before I get all kinds of hate mail, there are plenty of Flight Attendants who LOVE their jobs and Serve their clients with the same passion and attention with which with I do in Real Estate. And I certainly know we all have bad days. But, come on....what gives?!
I just checked out of a hotel--a major chain no less-- where I overheard the staff screaming at each other and fighting about who was cleaning which floor of rooms. Some sort of argument or disagreement EACH morning I was there. Yikes. Are we, as a culture suffering from the worst case of "entitlement" ever?!
Does anyone still "love to fly, and it shows?"
Does anyone REALLY "leave the light on?!"
Do you...

Texas: Walker County: Huntsville: It's a BEAUTIFUL Day!

Texas: Walker County: Huntsville: It's a BEAUTIFUL Day!
The birds are singing, I am singing---that's pretty normal too! The vision, the sights, sounds and smells of a fresh new day.
And, not to mention everything a new day represents:
a fresh start
another chance to finish what you didn't finish yesterday
an opportunity to choose what kind of day you will have
It's so inspiring to me to watch the springtime growth of flowers, plants and grasses. It has inspired multitudes of folks throughout the ages for good reason.
Replenishment, regrowth, recovery, repurpose....
It's a Beautiful Morning and quite a Beautiful Day!
Have a GREAT ONE!

Texas: Walker County: Huntsville: It Has Been an AWESOME 1ST QUARTER 2011
It has been an unbelievable ride this First Quarter of 2011.
I have had the distinct pleasure of helping a number of families sell or buy a home. I have had the honor of becoming a part of my clients' lives and have made SO many new friends.
Please stay tuned to the TexasRealEstateChannel.com for more stories about my clients.
My husband and I went for a ride this past Sunday evening to "drop in" on several of my clients in our neighborhood, Elkins Lake. It was SOooooo cool. It was so relaxed. I mean Soooo relaxed---shorts, t-shirt, ballcap, no makeup. I had been working outside. It's me being "just me."
We just kept running in to my wonderful clients. It was such a joyful experience because they were so happy in their new homes. We dropped by Amber and Stoney's new home that they were able to close on within 4 hours of closing on their previous home that I sold. It has only been 2 weeks and...

BREAKING NEWS: Texas: Walker County: Huntsville TX Realtor Breaks Sales Records AND Laptops since her Return To Keller Williams
This, from Mari Montgomery's most recent interview with Keller Williams Conroe/Huntsville Market Center Team Leader, Andrew Smith.
Mr. Smith -- Mari, to what do you attribute your production increase of 250% since your return to Keller Williams this past June 2010?
Mari Montgomery: First of all--Mr Smith, is that your REAL name, Smith---Are you in the Witness Protection Program---I knew it!?
Okay, yes, the question. Many things, both internal changes--(not just the hot flashes), a "eureka" (not the vacuum cleaner)--and a couple of simple yet profound changes.
Mr Smith: Okay what was one of the "eurekas," or "a-has?"
Mari Montgomery: You know the expression "If you love something set it free..If it comes back to you it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was......?"
Mr Smith: Yes, I see the profound part....
Mari Montgomery: Well, it's...

Texas: Walker County: Huntsville: I am so grateful and proud to be a Texas REALTOR
Life is cool. Life is what happens while we are waiting for the perfect time to do what we have always wanted to do.
I am the happiest girl in the world.
I get to wake up (Ooops, wrong "Smiley" Cued up---here it is!) every day
and do what I have wanted to do since I was 9 years old, be a Realtor.
I LOVE being a Realtor. I love the way every day is different, I love interacting with people, I love helping people find solutions, I love that I am paid much better than I was paid as a teacher, or anything else I have done "for a living."
I Love that I control my destiny.
I Love that attitude truly impacts my "altitude."
I love that I must continually learn about new changes, regulations, issues.
I love that I can learn from every transaction, relationship, mistake, success, training, deadline, showing and more-- in this business.
I love that I can control my attitude by understanding...

Texas : Walker County : Huntsville: Another Beautiful Elkins Lake Sunset
Wed. December 22, 2010 at 01:15 AM
Another Beautiful Sunset in Elkins Lake!
You know, I love my Keller Williams Office Spaces in Huntsville and Conroe, but there's something about working from my home office every now and then. Home-Made Coffee,
tea with fresh herbs from my herb garden. YUMMM...
And the Elkins Lake Sunsets from our porches--they sure are Pretty!
Pretty Relaxing too! Now, don't get me wrong, I am not relaxed all that often. But a few days from Christmas, taking time to "decompress" a little is a GOOD thing!
And how could this view NOT have a somewhat sedating effect?!
SO, Trying to NOT lose your mind in all of the Holiday Hustle Bustle????
Here's a "Self Diagnostic" to see just how you are doing with that endeavor.
1. Have you taken time to appreciate beauty today?
2. Have you stopped for JUST One (1) minute to breathe deeply---taking a LOW breath and exhaling through your mouth SLOWLY. (THIS Works!---just did it, again)
3. You,ve heard all of your life, probably, to take...

Eight People in the Butler's Pantry
What I Love About Being a Realtor A surprise by its very definition is unexpected. And often, the unexpected joys in life are the ones that keep us doing what we do.
I have had the pleasure of helping numerous families find home. And, among those families, a couple of pretty large families. Families with 5 children (yes, each) to find a home they all love.
What I didn't expect was to find the joy of connecting with the children that I have missed so much since leaving the teaching/Choral Director profession. I taught voice and choirs for 25 years. And with a very special young lady from, I had the opportunity to teach a voice lesson beside a picturesque pond on a beautiful property that will welcome a family ready to fill the house with new memories. You see, when I left teaching, I didn't know how much I would miss my kids. And as I listened to a lovely young voice belonging to the oldest girl, I was...
